An emphasis should be placed on establishing relationships with our manufacturers and customers. A strong background in Customer Service is required, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Business is a plus.

Duties and Responsibilities
This individual should ensure the electrical distributor receives the highest level of customer service through accurate, timely, and efficient communication, and application of SCI best practices. Possess the ability to organize, document, submit and oversee all aspects of multiple stock orders, promotions, and service requests. Coordinate details between the electrical distributor, manufacturer, and SCI Sales teams in a helpful and resourceful manner. Formulate product options to meet stock and budgetary requirements, and achieve shipment deadlines. Provide post-sales support and reconciliation. Maintain a heavy order, email, and call volume while maintaining a collaborative and professional demeanor. Responsible for arranging and filing supporting documents. Participate in continued product training and attend industry events and meetings as necessary.

A Quotations Administrator is responsible for screening and directing quotation requests in an efficient and timely manner, providing quick quotes, and preparing submittal packages for lighting distributors, working closely with our Project Management, Sales, and Specification teams. An emphasis should be placed on establishing relationships with our manufacturers and customers. A college education with 2+ years of related work experience is required.

Duties and Responsibilities
This individual is responsible for operating a switchboard, screening visitors, CRM, and quotation administration. Collaboration with the SCI teams to provide pre-bid and post-bid support including quick quotes. Preparing and distributing a variety of reports, and the preparation of submittal packages. Assisting administration and management with general tasks, special projects, and events as necessary.

Skills and Specifications

  • Should have a complete and thorough understanding of all of the SCI product lines, customers, and manufacturers.
  • Possess the ability to collaborate and present effectively in group settings.

A Specification Sales Representative is responsible for developing, marketing, and promoting lighting and lighting controls solutions to the specification community. This person will have a base of accounts developed from Electrical Engineers, Architects, Lighting Designers, Interior Designers, and Facility-End Users. The primary responsibilities will be to develop fixture schedules utilizing the specification grade manufacturer products and services represented by our firm.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Building and maintaining key relationships with the specification community and manufacturers.
  • This individual will have a working knowledge of all technical aspects of the manufacturer’s products that SCI represents.
  • This individual will be responsible to maintain and continue their education on new technologies as they are developed and introduced to SCI and the marketplace.
  • Develop and edit boilerplate specifications
  • Coordinate between the specifier, manufacturer and SCI Quotations, Sales and Specification teams to provide a complete and competitive bid package.
  • The objective of this position is to have the maximum capture rate of the specifiers’ project business.
  • Formulate plans for following up on specification bids to generate orders.
  • Responsible for arranging and filing supporting specification and bid documents.
  • The salesperson will be required to be an active member of the IES and/or DLF.
  • Attend regular sales meetings.
