An emphasis should be placed on establishing relationships with our manufacturers and customers. A strong background in Customer Service Project Management is required along with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business.

Duties and Responsibilities

This individual should ensure the electrical distributor receives the highest level of customer service through expert project management. Possess the ability to plan, document, submit and oversee all aspects of multiple project orders. Coordinate details between the electrical distributor, manufacturer and SCI Sales & Specifications teams in a helpful and efficient manner. Maintain a heavy order, email and call volume while maintaining a collaborative and professional demeanor. Formulate product options to meet specifications, budgetary requirements and achieve shipment deadlines. Provide post-sales support and reconciliation. Responsible for arranging and filing supporting documents. Participate in continued product training and attend industry events and meetings as necessary.

Skills and Proficiencies

  • Should have a complete and thorough understanding of all of the SCI product lines, LED and lighting control technology, pricing structures, and terms and conditions of sale.
  • Possess the aptitude to maintain systems and product knowledge.
  • Possess the ability to collaborate and present effectively in group settings.
  • Should be adept at managing tasks and timelines to meet evolving client needs and strict deadlines without compromising quality or superior service.
  • Experience working with other Lighting and Controls Companies.
  • Possess strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills which will help the individual coordinate among different divisions.

A Specification Coordinator is responsible for providing customer care to Architects, Engineers, Interior Designers, Lighting Designers, and Facility-End accounts while working with their assigned Specification Salesperson to develop relationships and answer project and product questions. In addition, a Specification Coordinator is responsible for creating and processing a variety of project specifications from inception to completion, for lighting and controls in a timely matter, and in close collaboration with the manufacturers and the Specification Sales team.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • This individual should ensure the specifier receives the highest level of service through expert project management.
  • Possess the ability to plan, document, submit and oversee all aspects of multiple project specifications.

This person will have a base of accounts developed from Electrical Engineers, Architects, Lighting Designers, Interior Designers, and Facility-End Users. The primary responsibilities will be to develop fixture schedules utilizing the specification grade manufacturer products and services represented by our firm.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Building and maintaining key relationships with the specification community and manufacturers.
  • This individual will have a working knowledge of all technical aspects of the manufacturer’s products that SCI represents.
  • This individual will be responsible to maintain and continue their education on new technologies as they are developed and introduced to SCI and the marketplace.
  • Develop and edit boilerplate specifications
  • Coordinate between the specifier, manufacturer and SCI Quotations, Sales and Specification teams to provide a complete and competitive bid package.
  • The objective of this position is to have the maximum capture rate of the specifiers’ project business.
  • Formulate plans for following up on specification bids to generate orders.
  • Responsible for arranging and filing supporting specification and bid documents.
  • The salesperson will be required to be an active member of the IES and/or DLF.
  • Attend regular sales meetings.
