Territory Sales Manager

The Territory Sales Manager – LA, Orange County & Valley is responsible for marketing, promoting, and profitably selling lighting and lighting controls solutions to wholesale distribution customers within the assigned territory. This role is centered on developing strong, trust-based relationships with key distributor partners, including sales teams, counter staff, and management—to drive stock sales and grow market share for SCI and its manufacturer partners. The ideal candidate will work closely with SCI’s Commercial & Industrial (C&I) Sales Team to support manufacturer-driven promotions and effectively utilize the full suite of products and services represented by our firm. Success in this role requires consistent engagement in customer interactions, active participation in industry events, and a proactive, relationship-focused sales approach. This position offers a unique opportunity to influence sales strategy, deepen customer loyalty, and make a measurable impact in three of Southern California’s most dynamic lighting markets.

What You’ll Do in This Role:

  • Market, promote, and profitably sell lighting and lighting control solutions to wholesale distribution customers.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders at SCI’s wholesale distribution partners, including sales teams, counter staff, and management.
  • Actively solicit and manage stock sales opportunities to SCI through regular communication and partnership.
  • Support SCI’s Commercial & Industrial (C&I) Sales Team by executing manufacturer-driven promotions and initiatives.
  • Leverage products, services, and programs offered by SCI’s manufacturer partners to drive sales and market penetration.
  • Ensure consistent engagement and visibility through participation in customer and industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of distributor needs, inventory trends, and market dynamics to recommend effective solutions and drive mutual profitability.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal and external teams to align goals and ensure customer satisfaction.

What You’ll Bring to the Team:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, or related field preferred.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple accounts and territories.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present confidently to whole distribution.
  • Solid knowledge of lighting and controls, with familiarity in architecture, engineering, or construction.
